I was in St. Thomas the other day and it was GORGEOUS, I kayaked and snorkeled and laid on the beach. We went to this awesome little restaurant called Chesterfields which is on the water, it was perfect

I booked things through the cruise, but snorkeling alone was $34 and snorkeling and kayaking was like $50

Re: St. Thomas
We're headed to St. Thomas for 2 days before going to St. John in April. We're staying at the Marriott Morningstar resort--I cannot wait to see palm trees and white sand, and to feel the sun and a cold drink in my hand! Has anyone been to this resort? I'm just psyched for the swim up bar. Also, I heard Duffy's Love Shack is a fun place to go for drinks!

Re: St. Thomas
Must go restaurants. Virgilio's Hervé Molly Malone's is a good time Duffy's cool drinks in all sorts of cool cups.
If you stay at the Wyndham you will be close to Red Hook where Duffy's and Molly Malone's are located.
I would rent a car, and there is a ton of shopping in downtown.
Also do a day trip to St. John, there is a ferry in Red Hook.
Overall I loved the island. If you want any info please FM me. I am dying to go back.
ETA: There are a lot of hotels where you can open your door and be right on the beach. We stayed at one and I loved it.

I so agree with this.. same situation with me. St. Thomas is GORGEOUS!
If your a jewelry fanatic.. bring $$, because never in my life have I seen such beautiful (and so much) jewelry . You will never see anything here remotely close to what you will see in St. Thomas. The have the BEST jewelry shopping in the carribean.

Re: St. Thomas
We stayed at the Marriot Frenchman's Reef for 3 days two years ago and I STILL think about it. The view is incredible. It is on a bluff. One side overlooks the harbor at Charlotte Amelie and you can see all of the cruise ships coming in. The other side overlooks the Caribbean Sea (I think). They pool is right on the edge and the views are amazing. The hotel is not right next to town but they offer a tender service to town.
Oh, and FH and I went shopping for jewelry and he bought me my wedding jewelry while there. I love them! Sapphire necklace and earrings! But beware of jewelers out to make a deal. Shop wisely! I think we paid too much for the earrings.
