I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on either ST. Thomas or St. John for the honeymoon. I am looking for a beautiful carribean island to relax on after the wedding. But I have no idea what these two islands have to offer, also any hotel and restaurant info would be great. Thanks everyone in advance! :)
St. Thomas is much busier with more shopping and more traffic. There are also alot more people. There is a bigger choice of hotels and restaurants and lots of beaches. St. John's is much more relaxed with only 2 hotels,but they are both beautiful.The beaches are incredible and most of the island is a national park. It's about a 15 minute ferry ride from one to the other so you could stay on one and visit the other frequently.Good Luck they are both great.
brit03 is right- St. Thomas is definetly busier than St. John. More touristy, but also more shopping, resturants, etc. It is definetely easy to go back and forth on the ferry.
There is a resort on St. John called Caneel Bay that is absolutely gorgeous. After my fiance and I saw it 4 years ago we swore we would go there for our honeymoon.

Go to www.usvi-on-line.com and click on the travel forum. There is some great information there from people who are planning trips as well as people who live on the islands. The rest of the website is very informative, too!
We are thinking about staying at the Ritz or Elysian or Marriott Morningstar on St. Thomas, then renting a vacation villa on St. John. Maybe that'll give you some ideas!

I would do both. I went on a cruise that went to st. thomas for a day, but my friends and I jumped on the ferry and spent the day on St. johns instead, since we were only there for a couple of hours. I would probably stay in st. thomas (more to do) and take the ferry to st. johns whenever you want. They're only about a half an hour away.
I have been to both islands and found that I enjoyed St.Thomas better. There is a lot of shopping, etc. It is nice to be able to go out and go sightseeing, or just relax by the pool/beach. A nice place to stay is Frenchmans Reef. I have not been there in a few years, so ask for information on the hotel. Good luck!!!
