Our seperate reception will be taking place 12/11/10 so we've been trying to come up with a holiday-esque theme for the decor.
Our colors are black and green but we're willing to throw in other colors sparingly.
Someone threw me the idea of having stacked presents, really nicely wrapped with big bows - in coordinating colors - be our centerpieces .. because I kind of want to stay away from flowers. I'm not big on them.
What do you guys think? Is this cool? Lame?
I've been googling to find example pics but I'm having some difficulty. Any help is appreciated.

ETA: I would make sure to put something kinda heavy in them to hold them down; I feel like empty boxes might be a little bit flimsy and might get knocked over a lot.

I think that would look very pretty. You should try to look for wrapping paper now---you could probably get some good after Christmas sales! CVS had very pretty paper. It was black and red with glitter. It was really beautiful and stood out next to the other presents.

i got TONS of wrapping paper in black, green and silver yesterday at target and ikea. so we should be good LOL

I posted this on the other thread too. I love this idea. We want a winter wedding around Christmas too, I was thinking of maybe doing like mini trees and some flowers, and I love this idea.
