Stages of Development

Does anyone know of any good websites where you can get stages of development for babies. I am expecting on 10/9 and want to start reading up, but haven't had my shower yet so I haven't gotten my books that I registered for. I am also babysitting on Fridays for my 8 month old niece and thought it would help if I knew this kind of stuff so that I could do certain activities with her when I play with her.
