I would like to decorate a staircase and I dislike tulle and bows. Any ideas? I am willing to compromise the bows ot tulle, but never really like anything I see.

I am getting married at Oheka and I definitely hate bows and tulle for Oheka's staircase. I think it looks cheap and tacky. You could do ivy or silk dupioni fabric. My florist, photographer and I all agreed to leave it plain. Instead, I am doing candles all over the room. The staircase is so beautiful, why would I want to distract from it?

They used the bows & hydrangeas that were on my church pews on the staircase, but it wasn't something that I planned.
My florist and I had initially decided to not use anything, but the bridal attendant came to me with the bows & flowers in a box and asked me what I wanted to do with them prior to the reception, so I asked her what she thought and that's where they went.
