stamp questions...97 cents?!

My envelopes are 2oz. so techincally i should be putting the 58 cent stamps...but since my envelope is 'larger' i need atleast 97 cents on it

for girls who need to put 97cents ...what kinda stamp denominations are you using...i dont wana ruin my envelopes by putting all weird stamps on it.....

i thought of ordering from zazzle.com -personalized stamps but now that is turning out to be real costly since im not getting a .41 stamp but rather i would have to buy the stamp that is $1.11 cents...if i want to put 'one' stamp on it...

Re: stamp questions...97 cents?!

I decided I did not want 3 or 4 stamps on mine. Mine are 97 also. I am taking them to this postal shop down the street and she is going to skan them through her postal meter machine. I know it's not what I wanted but I would rather do that than to many stamps. I am going to get wedding stamps for the rsvps though. Hope this helps.

I ran into the same problem, and I ended up getting the $1.11 stamp from zazzle (which was beautiful). I figured that if I fussed over having the exact invites I wanted with hand calligraphy, I wasn't going to ruin them by having a ton of cheesy stamps on them. In all I think I spent $360-$380 on stamps from zazzle

Oooh...I'm sorry to hear that. The whole postage change thing has been a pain. Now it's not just weight, but size and depth too.

ME TOO!!! I wound up buying the old wedding stamps online. (the .63 cent and .39 cent stamps) and will put both on the outer envelope paying a total of $1.02 per invite which is .05 cents more then I have to but figure its still better than paying double on zazzle. The new wedding stamps come out on the 27th but I'm impatient and want to send out my invites next week.

I know! This is all just so ridiculous! I am PRAYING that the zazzle 58 cent stamps I bought are ok!!! I will find out next week when I send them out!
I did a picture of me and my FH on the stamp cause the whole thought of having a RAM on my invtes was killing me!

THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME!!! I ended up using a dollar stamp. They aren't issuing a .97 cent stamp (which makes no sense) The postal clerk said I could use about 4 stamps but I didnt want to do all that

they sell a $1 stamp at the post office.. i used it to send invites overseas.. so its just one stamp..

its an extra 3 cents but def cheaper than zazzle!

I just left the post office TICKED off because my invited are in the .97 category.

I bought the $1.00 stamps.

dont feel bad - mine weighs 3.5oz AND is oversized.. $1.14 in stamps...and since i didnt want 3 stamps per envelope, i did buy the custom zazzle ones (which i was planning on all along) but i had to buy $1.33 since that was the closest they had that wasn't under $1.14

Mine were 87 cents. I used the 63 cent wedding stamp and then a postcard stamp.

My envelopes weigh 5 ounces so I need to order 2 stamps from Zazzle. So annoying - I am going to spend like $500 for stamps!

They are! They are in a box like envelope (not flat) so it only adds to the expense!!! When I ordered them I figured it would be around $20 more to mail than regualr envelopes - I was so wrong!

Just what makes it so heavy? The paper? I looked at the pics in your album and was trying to determine why it would be so heavy
