Stamp's question

I weighed my invitations at school and they weigh 87 cents.

Do I need to put the 39 and 63 stamp on my outer envelope ( and 'donate' the left over 13 cents to the Post Office ) or do I have other options?

Mine were 87 cents to mail and i just put 3 37's on b/c i wanted them all to match - crazy i know :)
