So I basically have all my major vendors booked. I am not looking for a wedding dress and BM dress until the summer. I feel that I am at a stand still until the summer. Anyone else?

Can I offer you advice? I think you should start looking for your dress because it takes FOREVER to get it in. The sooner you get your dress, the more time the have to make sure it's perfect on you.

My mom is in Florida with my dad until May for the winter season and I wanted her to be home for when I went dress shopping. So that is why part is on hold.

i don't have my major vendors except RH booked, but I also feel like I'm at a stand still. Planning from Philly has proven to be much harder than I thought. I know people plan weddings from afar all the time, but that mixed with my recovery from foot surgery has really made things difficult.

I totally understand where you are coming from because I feel the same way....b/c of school. I go to school for nursing (decided to go back to school & continuing with my career after graduating from Hofstra) and FH for finance he will be done this May....needless to say we have no choice to wait until the summer because there is just not enough time in the day/ week between school, work and the wedding!
Can't wait for the summer!

I'm with you! PLanning from afar makes things hard. I'm in DC area and I make progress everytime I go home and then just search the Internet in between!
I am really close to signing my photog though!

what about....
favors programs blocked hotel rooms for oot guests BM and GM gifts hair/makeup if not booked yet shoes DOJ etc
I still need to book makeup, although I think I know who I'm going to go with. I need to do hair and makeup trials though. Both vendors are people I've used before but I still want to play around with some ideas

i'm in the same situation, and the only thing i have is the church and the RH. I've been doing a lot of legwork for the fun stuff, but haven't booked anything else. i think that we're fine though! haha as my fh constantly says 'we have so much time left!'

I'm getting married 7-11-09 and I feel I am at a standstill too. I am not looking for dresses until the summer either so I can't even begin planning my color scheme. O well, we still have plllllenty of time to plan!
