ok silly question.. I'm trying to guesstimate how much money i'm gonna have to come up with... my rate is 39.99 + tax + gratuity... it dosent say how much that gratuity is.. is there a standard gratuity rate for RH's...

Re: standard gratuity charge for reception hall??
You are going to have to ask your hall, some charge 15%, 18% and 20% gratuity (of the 39.99). then you need to add .0875% for tax and that should give you a ball park figure of what it will cost you total persons. With your price I think you are looking at somewhere betwee $52-$55/person total. Hope this helps.

Re: standard gratuity charge for reception hall??
Just a little note here. Gratuity should not be added to the taxed total. they both should be figured separately. At least that is what my hall did.
The gratuity can range from 15% - 22% depending on the hall & what you get included/added.

Youre right, but if your hall calls it a 'service charge' (rather than a grat.) than it can be taxed
