Star Wars Themed Wedding

Hey everyone! So i'm torn between like 4 different themes for my wedding....thankfully I have plenty of time to decide.
I'm really liking the idea of a Star Wars theme and i just wanted some more creative ideas from all you guys.

So far i was thinking that we would walk into the imperial march and our bridal party would all have light sabers.

Of course the cake topper would be star wars related

Star wars figures can hold the table numbers on the tables

Any other ideas??
I'm not super creative lol

Does it make me a geek that i got excited over this? Lol

Are you going as far as being Han Solo and Princess Leia at the wedding? They would be great cake toppers.

I just bought my niece the 'ABCs of Star Wars'...it teaches the ABCs with star wars characters! E = EWOK! I LOVE IT!!!

I'm a HUGE star wars fan, and my FH is pretty much a big fan too (not as psycho as me tho LOL).

He just really wants a wedding that NO ONE else will have (at least not of our friends)....so i think this will be perfect.

I'm saving up for these little robotic R2D2s and i hope to buy like 5-10 of them to serve drinks....I CANT WAIT

i'm all for themed weddings but there;s a fine line between classy themed and cheesy over the top horrendous themed! if you can do it classy, do it. if not, then don't!

it's jmo but i think the light sabers, figurines and r2d2s are crossing the line into tacky

if you need help with ideas to make it themed but not tacky, let me know!!

my cousin and his wife walked into the imperial march... it was awesome hes such a star wars geek so it totally fit...

i think the light sabers are a cool idea and it would probably look awsome in pics with all the different colors...

I dont know about the figurines though...

ok here are some ideas:

first, i'd go with a black, gold and white color theme!

do black bms dresses with gold accents (shoes, jewelry, etc.) you can get them gold star jewelry for their bm gifts...that would be really cute!!!!

a dress like this girl's would be really cute for you bc it sort of resembles princess leia's just without the monstrous sleeves



a cake with gold stars and a black ribbon around it like this one would be really cute with a star wars cake topper




something like this for flowers




light sabers would be cute if you just used them to make the arch for when you walk into the reception like this



and you could use the star wars font to make the menus and table numbers (and you can name your tables after star wars characters)

Now I know you didn’t mean it this way (I hope), but your first response was a tad pretentious. My FH and I are not classy to begin with so I was never planning for a classy wedding. He is basically the class clown and I am a down to earth doctor from the Bronx. We basically want a wedding that is going to standout, not because it’s cheesy or horrendous, but because it is different and FUN. I’ve seen the lightsabers done very well and that’s going to be a part of the entrance ceremony (like she pic you sent). I’m still on the fence about the figurines on the tables, they will totally be on the cake though. We got so insanely excited with the small robotic R2D2s (they have a cup holder!) that I already have money put to the side to buy them. We’re going to buy little black bowties to put on them and make sure the waiters keep them stocked with booze, I know everyone at the wedding will absolutely love them. Plus they are another little something to give away.

I’m pretty sure I’m going with black, silver and red as the color themes. I used the black, gold and white colors for my sweet 16 already.
I think that dress you linked me too is BEAUTIFUL. I’m not sure if I’m going to buy one expensive dress or two more decently priced ones yet….but I’ll keep that look in mind.
As for the cake, I need to talk that over my with my aunt who will be making it. I love tiers so I need to see what we can work out. I hate stars (too emo for me lol), but that cake is pretty. Our topper is either gonna be our initials, or some star wars themed figures.
