What songs, besides organized dances(have them all on my list already) are you putting on your do not play list? So far I have:

No hardcore dirty dirty rap. FH can't STAND it, and a wedding is NOT the place to start talking about slapping some hos around. We're actually going to ask our DJ if he can play some light 'classical' music (classical is such a misnomer, but that's a topic for another time) during dinner.
Depending on the guest list, a wedding might be the perfect place to talk about slapping some hos around.
ITA! I wanted 'Smack My B!tch Up' by Prodigy to be our first dance lol. We tease people with this all the time to see what kinda reaction we get.... you gotta see peoples faces ha ha

my FH is an electrician and many of our guests are too....i don't know, i kinda feel it necessary to play the electric slide for some reason. that would be the only cheesy organized song i would have on my play list.

thats funny cuz last night at the dj i kept stressing no group dances and they were like, well what if a guest requests one? no. what if someone in your BP requests one - still no, and i'll kill them! And then I was like I cant promise you I'm not gonna request the electric slide myself after I have a few drinks, but thats allowed! There will always be a special place in my heart for the electric slide

For some reason my FMIL loves the song 'Celebration' and has asked me 4 times if it's going to be played at the wedding and I just smile and don't answer. What's so funny is we hired an Irish band that plays Classic Rock music - I think they would laugh at me if I asked them to play Celebration! I don't understand why she's so obsessed with it being played....lol.

Its so funny reading this and how everyones styles in music differ.
I personally will have reggaeton, 80's, merange, salsa, pop, hip-hop. We're hugeeeee dance buffs so I need to shake my ***

Our band has a song sampling on their website and one of the songs they do is 'I Wanna Be Sedated' (brings back memories of Ray-Anne in My So Called Life choking onstage). Now, I like the Ramones and all, however I do NOT want them playing that song at the reception under ANY circumstances. I have visions of drunk college friends attempting to form a mosh pit.

Re: Started making my must play and do not play lists
I am doing no organized dances, but it is tradition at the weddings of my sorority for us to play 'We are Family,' so I will be playing that.
I also detest country music so little of that except 'I loved her first.'
