Started OPK's

I just started my OPK's today on CD 11 according to their charts. I thought originally you measured your cycle from the first day of AF till the next first day of AF, but these directions say till the day BEFORE your next AF. I know its only one day, but...anyway, no surge today. Also, Anyone else have difficulty with privacy at work???

Privacy? In regards to OPKs at work? LOL Are you taking them at your desk?

Taking them at my desk...that would make for an interesting speech/language lesson No, at my job there are only two adult staff only bathrooms and a WHOLE building full of women. If I use them at work (this was listed as prime time) the bathroom is like a revolving door....no privacy.

take them, put them back in the wrapper and in your pocket, go back to your desk and put it in your purse, then read the results later.

Well theres a stall right? Or at least a door that locks if its a private bathroom? I take mine at lunch time and I put it back in the wrapper and take back to my desk and check it after like 5 minutes. Put it in your purse and check it after. Or make two quick trips to the bathroom..one to test, one to check??

Also I really think from all I have read that day one is the first day of your period?

Re: Started OPK's

The question I had regarding # of days in the cycle was which was the last day? But, I figured it out. The bathroom is a single stall in the nurse's office or single stall in the hallway... I am not a teacher so I do not have a desk, I am a speech therapist so I have children for half hour time slots, so I go back to back to back and have to go on the half hour or many times I am at a child's home. It's not a simple task to say the least. But I understand you do what you have to do. I was just wondering if anyone had better results at different times, I was just going by the booklet that mentioned this time period.

Unlike HPT's, OPK's will keep their true results for a LOT longer, don't worry if you can't get to looking at it right away.

Re: Started OPK's

lilmrs- thanks, on my third day now I noticed later on when I went to throw it away that the lines stayed clear. Do you know if the results window shows a faint line does that mean I'm getting closer to Oing? I know its still a negative, but day 1 the results window was white, day 2 a FAINT line, and day 3 the line was a darker, but still lighter than the test window. I also talked to my mom today (so much for not letting her in on TTC...) and she said she O's late, like day 20 of a 29-30 day cycle. I guess we'll find out...
