So we started pre cana last night and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It actually prompted some important conversations between me and FH!

FH was complaining too, and when I asked him last night what he thought of it, he had changed his opinion. I'm sure your FH will feel the same. Don't worry!!

dont even worry about that, its not like its something you are making him do that doesn't have to be done, its something that the church requires, not your fault...He'll get over it lol

im not getting married ina church, we are interfaith but FH asked a preist from his church to do the ceremony with a Rabbi, they suggested to be recognized by FH church that we do interfaith pre-cana.
im not sure of all the details but the preist did say they require precana for interfait even when they are getting married in the reception hall.

It's not bad, I promise! We sit in groups of other engaged couples and fill out questionnaires from a workbook. We each answer the questions on our own and then compare. The group is moderated by a married couple who facilitates the discussion.
So far we talked about our differing communication styles and where we see ourselves in the next 3-5 years.
It really was interesting and pretty painless.

I agree. Most of the couples in ours are getting married in the next few months. I think we are the only '08 couple there, but I wanted it done with!
