I ahve a great, and EXTREMELY easy dip recipe.
Take 1 package of Philly cream cheese and spread onto bottom of round baking pan. Top with about 3/4 jar of salsa, spread evenly. Top with sharp cheddar cheese, and bake for about 5 mins. at 350, until cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips.

SOOOOO delicious!!

I think you don't need a veggie salad if you have a green salad. Why not do a veggie platter for munching on? I think chips/dips, a nice spinach dip always works well (KNOR vegatable dip mix has the recipe on the box), cheese/crackers. I think stuff that is easy to prepare and easy to eat while outside is great.

I think instead of a veggie salad I would do a veggie platter for when people get there.

For BBQs we always get that big bag of hot wings from the price club and set them out as apps as well.

you can have fruit and vegetables and dip out
lots of people like tostito and salsa or rice krispie treats

The recipe 2nd time around posted is great. I have had that before.

An alternative to that w/o cooking is:
Layer of sour cream
Layer of salsa
shredded cheddar cheese
serve w/tortilla chips

Everytime I do this we have none at all left.

Veggies and dip are great

Spinach dip in pumpernickle bread is great too

Artichoke dip,

Take one can of artichoke hearts in oil, drain and mix with 1 cup mayo and 1 cup0 grated cheese, mix together and mak at 360 until bubbly, sprinkle with paprika, and serve with wheatsworth crackers

Thanks everyone I have edited my menu to include those yummy dips!

Now I need suggestions for a fun Drink of the Day or Theme Drink - something light on the alchoal that can be made in batches.
