I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING AND LOOKING FOR MAKEUP TRIAL PICTURES....I AM GETTING FRUSTRATED AT WHAT I AM SEEING…I FEEL LIKE THERE ARE 2 GENERAL LOOKS, EITHER VERY NEUTRAL OR OVER DRAMATIC…I AM LOOKING FOR A HAPPY MEDIUM…I DON’T WANT TO LOOK ORDINARY WITH THE NEUTRAL/PINK/GOLD EYES AND I ALSO DON’T WANT TO LOOK OVERDONE WITH THE DARK EYES….ANY SUGGESTIONS AND/OR PICTURES ON ARTISTS BEFORE I START BOOKING TRIALS???

do you have someone you want to try? or booked already? Tell them exactly what you want.. they should be able to do it.. if not then they arent for you
For me i wanted to look like myself, bc whenever i get my makeup done i always look like im chinese.. when i got my trial done it came out perfect.

A good make up artist should be able to do that middle ground that you are looking for. Just tell them what you want and don't be shy when they are doing it. If there is something you do not like then tell them so they can fix it. In the meantime I would suggest looking at a few magazines, not cosmo or something too high end tho. They will only show the drastic looks. and bring some pics of what you may like. Visual ads are always a HUGE help. Even if its just something little like the color or the way the eye liner is done.
(sorry if that sounded like a speech I work at a salon and tell people that same thing all the time LOL)

I GUESS PART OF MY ISSUE IS THAT I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START AS FAR AS NARROWING NOW MY CHOICES/OPTIONS....SO FAR I HAVEN'T REALLY FOUND ANY PICTURES OF WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR, SO ITS HARD TO SAY WHICH MU ARTIST MIGHT BE THE BEST FIT FOR ME.....HOW DID YOU LADIES MAKE YOUR SELECTIONS FOR TRIALS?

Ask around with your friends, family co-workers if there is someone near by that they have used or would recommend. I'm sure there is someone who has gotten their MU done that can recommend someone locally. I only know of MU in Brooklyn.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE JENNIFER SANCHEZ FROM DAVID JAMES BUT BROOKLYN IS SOOO FAR TO GO BACK AND FORTH ON THE BIG DAY....PLUS THE PRICE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IN SALON AND THEM COMING TO ME IS TOTAL ABSURD, LIKE $200+ DIFFERENCE!!!!

Yea unfortunately it gets a bit pricey, I would just ask around for someone local. I'm sure someone around you knows someone closer to you. nd if worse comes to worse go on a few trials til you find the right one.

dont stress! I went to 2 makeup trials...both without any pictures or anything. I told them i wanted natural with a little drama. I loved the second MUA better than the first and I booked her. If you arent comfortable doing that then print out two pics you like...one of a natural look and one of a dramatic look and tell the MUA you want something in the middle. A good MUA can achieve that! Also in my experience with both trials...i told them i wanted something natural and so they did and then they asked if they can 'add to it' and i said sure, so little by little they added color etc and i loved the final look. it wasnt too dramatic. schedule a trial and see what you think. I highly recommend Sandra Baldini...she is great at picking out colors and getting your look perfected
