Tonight is our first night of precanna and I am nervous. Crazy right? I just don't know what to expect. I will let you all know how is goes.

Definitely let me know- our priest says we 'have plenty of time' and he wants us to go closer to the wedding- but I am nervous and want to get it over with!! (bad attitude, i know )

How did it go? What did you have to do? Do share with all of us brides that have to go through with that! Did you have fun? Hope all went well!!

I attended Pre-Canna all in one day. It was about 6 hours but it was very helpful. (fh and I live in different states so it was easier that way) We discussed finances, and just everyday problems. It was actually really informative and enjoyable. It was a little odd sharing with people you didn't know, but you got to know them as the day went on so it got easier. I think it will be even better for those of you that go every week. There were things fh and I hadn't really talked about taht they bring to your attention. At the end we were all asked to write a letter to each other and the church will mail it to each of us about a week before the wedding. It was such a sweet idea.

We didn't really talk about much last night. The priest spoke for about 30 mins about the meaning of marriage. He was very good. He has a sense of humor so he kept our attention. After he spoke we split up into our groups and meet with the host couples. We just went over what dates we are available. So we will be meeting in their homes for four sessions. That's when it should start to get interesting. We meet next sunday, so I will let you all know how it goes. It really doesn't seem like it is going to be too bad. I actually think I might get something out of it. I feel so much better.

See, we're having a non-secular ceremony so we don't have to do that. But I kinda feel like we're missing out. Strange right? I dunno. I'm sure it's easier tho with 1 less thing to worry about.

I am jealous when i hear people who only had one day of precana...we had to go for 6 weeks, every saturday morning for 3 hours!!
Aside from thinking it was overkill...we enjoyed it. I didn't think there could be possibly anything left to talk about but I found out things about FH as well as him learning more about me and it sparked SO MUCH conversation.
I think every couple regardless of religion, needs something like that. I feel less divorces would occur..I really do. It gets you to see everything and to remember what marriage is all about and doesn't attempt to sugercoat anything...but it does get you to also see the wondeful things to come...
