Keep foods you are allowed and enjoy handy for the first few days. I got headaches but since then it has been smooth sailing!

Re: Starting SBD today -
I started this on Sunday - but only made it through 3 days - it is so difficult when my DH is not with the program! Who wants to make 2 dinners? So it is back to WW for me...

Dubliner-I also need support. They say that if you can make it through the first week it gets easier.

Re: Starting SBD today -
DH and I just got through phase 1...we didn't lose much though...i think b/c we were already dieting...and a lot of what you lose is the water weight we already lost...
BUT it was nice to kick the carb addiction...and we have completely changed our eating habits...we eat very healthy now...and we may lose slowly...but we are going to be healthier b/c of it...
My friend showed me a site Low Carb Friends that really helped with the sweet issue...
I made PB cookies with splenda when I got a craving...
I have a thread here for a shopping list and I think Montauk was the one who posted such a great list...It really helped while food shopping...
thanks for the info ladies - I printed the food list. Day one was OK - I have a bit of a headache this morning though - I guess its to be expected.
I was relieved to read yabbobab'y post about drinking. I am having a dinner party on Saturday night, and I've already decided to have 2 glasses red wine - one with dinner, one with dessert.
BTW - the recipe I am making is from a french cooking school DH & I went to on our HM - its veal stuffed with goat cheese & herbs, in a dijon mustart sauce. Looking at the list it looks like a good SBD recipe. If we can recreate it with success, I'll post it on Sunday

I don't think you can have the red wine until after the 2 weeks!!
