Starting to panic - hair/makeup girl is missing in action!

So our wedding is in 9 days and I haven't talked to my hair/makeup girl in months!!!!! I have also heard from some of you who I have recommended her to that she isn't returning your calls, etc.

She was recommended to me by an 09 bride, so I even posted on their boards looking for 'Rachel Kiley's FSIL' LOL! I have Rachel on my MySpace, too, and she hasn't been on there since Aug 1. I really hope that everything is okay...

I left her a message on Aug 4 asking her to call me to confirm things, etc. She called me and left ME a message saying yes, she is still doing my wedding and to email her w/ directions, the time to be there, how many girls, etc. I did that, but haven't heard a word. I called her again last week to ask her something else and she hasn't called me back. I would really feel a LOT better if I spoke to her for myself, you know?! ACK

I would freak out on her! but i'm crazy
just keep calling!!!!!

I have such a fear that she won't show up that day! I do have something in writing - its on the back of her business card saying 'I will be there for your wedding August 22, 2008' and she signed it. Do you think that will hold up in court if she doesn't show and I need to sue???

do you have a receipt or canceled check that you gave a deposit?

i would try and call again, let her know that you have to hear from her or you will need to make other arrangements...don't let her get to you. there might just be a good reason for her not getting back to you.

Marisa, I wouldn't worry too much. She did respond to your message on Aug 4, which was only a little over a week ago. I know it's hard when your wedding is next week, but she did say she was doing your wedding just last week. I wouldn't call that missing in action.

Do you happen to know her home address or a home phone number in case she still hasn't gotten back to you in a week from today?

ya I agree. Its not like you havn't heard from her in 6 months. Don't stress this too much- Im sure she will show up!

I know, you're probably right, I would just feel way better if I actually spoke to her and we didnt keep leaving messages for each other! I have her home address but not her home phone, only a cell phone. I guess I'll call her again next week to confirm-confirm LOL. thanks!

If you called her last week, there really is no excuse for her not calling you back unless she had some type of emergency. i'd call her again today & if you dont hear back from her in 24hrs look in2 a plan B

Okay, I just called her cell and left another message. I basically said that I hope everything is ok b/c I called her last week and she hasn't called me back and I would really feel better if I actually talked to her to confirm things. We'll see if and when she calls.

That makes me feel better at least!!! I really would like to think she won't screw me since she'd be losing out on so much money from me, and from all the other brides I have recommended to her!
