I still havent found anyone to do my hair for the wedding! Every stylist I have been recommended to is on vacation the week of my wedding =(
I am such not a girly girl when it comes to hair and make up-- please help! Who did you girls use for hair and also for make up?
ETA: Also can you please add how much you are paying for your hair and make up, for the trial and day of and whether they are coming to you or you are going to them.
I had one make up trial that I really liked but didnt love-- not sure how many morem if any to go to as they get pricey!! On that note, do the stylist whether for hair or make up, usually do one look for the price they charge for a trial or do they play around with different looks?
Thanks ladies!!

Re: Starting to Panic!
I went with Cactus Salon for hair. They were wonderful. THey opened the store early on a Sunday for me. They have many locations so I am sure there is one near you. They are also much less money than a private person that travels to you and works for herself.
For make up I used Elena from Bridal Touch. She is vendor on here. Check her out. She will come to you. She also took me on last minute notice (two weeks before my wedding)

Re: Starting to Panic!
I'm like you, not big on hair and make-up myself so where do i go? I struggled wondering who do I call...then I went into my regular salon and I asked if they do hair and make-up. They said yes and I booked on the spot. I can always cancel if i don't like the trial but it was a simple way to handle something that I plan to be very simple about. I don't want crazy hair or makeup, so they can't really do a bad job...I hope.

Re: Starting to Panic!
I wont recommend my girl b/c in the end she was terrible. But, I just wanted to say that I am not a girly girl either, and I really didn't care about my hair, but looking back on my pictures I wish I would've gone with someone else, or cared a bit more. Just giving a little bit of my own experience. I would go with whoever is reputable, try not to cheap out on it :( Unless you really, really don't care about the hair lol I just sort of regret it now. :-/
You should be able to get more than one look done. What if you don't like the way the trial comes out, or you want to change something. IF you are paying for a trial, get your money worth. Have them fix or do it until its exactly what you want, and what you are paying for!

Thanks ! I was underthe impression that at least with make up you need to set up different trials if you want to try different looks? I only say I am not a girly girl bc i havent concentrated much on this stuff, I have focused more on other elements of the wedding and I havent really gotten make up etc done in the past so i dont have a lot of experience with it, but i DEFINITLY think its really important to love the way i look day of esp for pictures etc.. so thats why i am really nervous.. I have nightmares about my hair dresser not showing up and having crappy hair the day of... anxiety attacks!!

I went to 2 different girls for my makeup, only b/c the first one none of my BM's could get back to me on and I had to find someone else. The woman I did wind up going with did 2 looks on me for the first trial, I loved her so much that I just didn't ask for anything else. She hit the mark on the first face that she did, but she still tried something a little different with the second application just to see if I liked it.
You shouldn't have to set up different trials if you want different looks. I didn't do many trials like that, so maybe I am wrong, but my thinking would be that you should'nt have to pay differently for something that is supposed to be a 'trial'. It's to see how you like it..if you don't like it they should change it to what you do like :)
