Stay away from the Best Western East End

Original post by carolinebr

Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT give these people any business. I am hysterical in tears.

4 months ago, I called them to block rooms for our wedding. I told them in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that we needed 40 rooms for our OOT guests. That is a minimum... we have over 100 people coming from other states. They told me that they would block 20 rooms. I said 'NO - 40' They gave me a song & dance about how they cannot do that but they'll block 20 now & I can 'always add more rooms later.' I have been calling weekly for updates on how many rooms are booked & asking to book more but they kept saying that I coulnd't block more until I filled the 20.

So I get a call from a guest saying that there are no rooms available and what should she do? I call the BW to ask how many rooms are blocked. All 20. I say 'well HELLO, add more rooms to my block like you said you would.' Oh, sorry, THERE ARE NO MORE ROOMS LEFT. THEY BLOCKED OFF 60 ROOMS FOR 2 OTHER WEDDINGS (do the math, they gave someone more that 20 rooms) and there is no room left for my wedding. She then tells me that I can 'wait until 30 days prior to the wedding and see if some rooms get released.' Is she f*cking kidding me?

I now have a 200 person wedding with 100+ people coming from New England & they have nowhere to stay. The wedding is in Westhampton & there are LITERALLY no hotels. The Holiday Inn Express is all booked up too.

So glad I booked a 56 person BUS to bring my guests to & from a hotel that HAS NO ROOMS for them.

I am fuming right now. They totally f*cked me over.

I had the same expereince with them!! They were a REAL pain. Try the holiday Inn express that just opened in Riverhead by the outlets. .

P.S. They are owned by the same people.

Try the Hampton Inn right on the LIE at exit 63 - I think it's Farmingville. I stayed there once and the rooms were really nice.

This is where did our block for my wedding at Giorgio's, it was perfect, they were great.

I might do this. I did a mapquest & its 23 miles.... seems far but maybe worth it

Thanks everyone for your ideas.
