STAYED HOME BECAUSE OF A MIGRAINE..

I've had at least 4 of them and I did read in one of my books that this is from 'hormonal changes' in the body, but this one took me down yesterday..I went to bed Wednesday night with it and woke up with it.

Of course being pregnant and all I didn't want to take anything and I just suffered so I called the doctor and she said take the Tylenol if you need it, that's all she needed to say to me!

I'm feeling much better but she said to expect that to possibly go to the 20th week! yikes!!

Oh, I feel for you! Right in my 13th week, as soon as my m/s went away, I had constant headaches for 3 weeks. Thank God they finally went away. I know what you mean about not wanting ot take anything, but why suffer, especially if you have to go to work and stuff. So, take the tylenol! Hope you feel better!!

I had the same thing - as soon as the m/s ended, I had terrible headaches for three weeks straight. I thought I would go nuts! The dr. told me I was crazy not to take Tylenol for them - there is no reason to be in pain. I felt awfully guilty, but I did take the Tylenol once or twice and it made my day at work SOOO much more bearable. This too shall pass, and definitely take the Tylenol to help.

Aw, sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Yes, Tylenol is definitely safe, I hope it made you feel better.
Try to just take it one day at a time with your pregnancy, the migraines may stop sooner. If you do get to thinking that far ahead with how long they can go on, just try to also remind yourself that it's all for a good cause unlike a migraine when you're not PG. Of course I know you know that but with the aches, pains and all the other 'fun stuff' of the pregnancy, the part where the baby is actually in your arms can seem so distant.

Hang in there, pamper yourself!!!!! You deserve it, you're creating a life in your body right now.

Oh, you poor thing! I know how you feel! I had a migraine when I was pregnant, and it came on like the strangest thing...started w/my vision becoming blurry...then the pain! OMG!
I was DOWN for the count for an entire day. Horrible pain, naseau/vomitting - you name it! My OB actually prescribed an anti-nauseau medication along with Vicodin. I didn't want to take it, but I was so desparate. I was only able to hold one dose down for about 3 hours.

The only thing that really helped me was putting an ice pack on my head. Maybe it will help you, too.

Oh Camille, I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you're feeling better soon! I know how it is to suffer from migraines w/o being pg, so I can only imagine how much worse it is being pg!!!! Go in a dark room, shut the lights, and put a cold compress on your head, put the ceiling fan on (if you have one -- I always need to be cold) and try to get some sleep. It doesn't totally work, but it always helps me a bit.
