STD

Are any of you sending hotel accomodations with your STDs? If not are you sending them with your invitations?

Most don't send them with the STD - I would think with the invitations would be fine. Remember the STD are just to let them know when the wedding will be - formal invitation to follow- which usually holds all the pertinent information along with it.

Im definitely putting hotel and travel info in my STD. Most people will want to plan ahead and I think they would want to know how much $$ the room block is, how far away airports are, etc. That way they can spend time looking for good deals.

I totally understand! It's just that my FI has family in Puerto Rico and he is doing their invites way earlier than anyone would expect. Reason being that they need to save money for flight, hotel and other stuff so i thought maybe they should have the info with the STD but maybe not. Thanks

I am sending STD Magnets I will probably send them out by itself and as I get closer I might send out a Wedding Newsletter somewhere after the STD and before the invitation plus I am putting the our wedding website on the magnet so everyone can check out all the info and keep updated on the wedding plans...where i will have hotel accomodations ect.

I reserved rooms at 2 places, 1 of which made me lay down half the $$ up front.

If I don't book my rooms by the time of my wedding, I get charged for 1/2. I plan on sending STD's out with the hotel info and maybe 4 months before the wedding I am going to release the rooms at one place and leave the others since I did not have to leave a deposit there.

I totally agree that sending the hotel and Local air ports are important for people to plan....especially If it is near or on a holiday weekend??? I am sending the info with our STD's....
