Ok the wedding is in May. Is it to soon to send out the STD. I made them and printed them out today.

According to the schedule we're late I've not sent mine out either but I have received a STD from a May bride...protocol says 1 year in advance

I don't think it's too late. I think 6 months is perfect!! I wouldn't want for ppl. to forget or just misplace them.

I printed them on postcad paper. Isnt it cheaper to send postcards? But what exactly is the postage anyone know?

I am getting married on May 19th and I am going to get the envelopes printed this week and then send them out. I wanted to do it last month, but I think this is a good time.

I sent mine out already, it's usually a year to 9-months before. Unless it is a Holiday Weekend, send them ASAP

I think it depends. I personally will send ours out in october/november. I want to avoid sending them during the holidays (christmas, thanksgiving,new years) because there is more of a chance that the STD may get lost in transit or forgotten with all the holiday cards that one gets. If you are having a lot of OOT guests then the sooner the better (no more than a year advance) especially if it is a holiday weekend.
