I'm guessing most of you girls are sending out STD cards. I was wondering how long in advance do u send them out and are you sending them out to everyone or just family/friends who you havnt kept contct with or they live in a dif. state.?

im sending them out to all the people i intend to send an invitation to....and im going to doit around 8-9 months before the wedding

I'm going to send mine out about a year in advance....especially because mine is on Memorial day weekend. I plan to send them out to everyone that I plan to invite. HTH

im giving them out as part of the favor at the engagment party. the rest are going out around valentines day so 11 months before

Not sure yet if I'm doing them. But, if I do it will be about a year ahead of time.

we sent ours out 7-8 months before the wedding......we sent them to everyone we were sending an invitation too.........

i didn't think of having a engagement announcment/ save the date combination but i really like the idea. This way i can also let everyone know we're engaged since we're not having a e-party. Thanks for the idea

I know I sent them out way early....but FH and I have been together for 12 years so as soon as we got engaged everyone asked when we were getting married....so we sent them out last month right before our e-party. We are also having a halloween wedding so we just wanted to get the word out as early as possible. So my advice would be to do them when ever you want. We used magnets so I figured they would be sitting on our guests fridges so it wouldnt get lost.

i dont think im doing STDs... we hardly have any OOT guests, and I just dont see why we'd need them... but who knows, that could change. :)

At the 1 year mark. I am only going to send out 50 because I am sure that my invite list will change.

We're including them on our favors for our e-party but for everyone else it's going to be word of mouth....i'd say 90% of the guests already know our date already - we're not having a huge wedding.
