Small dilemma...

The venue that we want to book is not ready yet (the actual place is moving and the new place isn't ready). They're going to finish the renovation in the middle of February, therefore my fiance and I can't really book it until we see what it looks like . We want to have the wedding either the 1st or 2nd week of October.. but can't really send out our save the date's yet until we give the deposit and say.. THIS IS IT!!!. Do you think it's too late to send out the STD's in the middle of February for a 10/9 wedding?

Also, keep in mind that we have about 100 people from OOT..

no I don't thnk it is late at all - we jsut got our STD's in the mail last week and we are working on addressing them to mail out in the beginning of February!

I think you should be fine sending them out in Feb.!

I think with the OOTers, they should know that the wedding will be in NY, at the most. They can still book travel 7.5 months early if need be. Do you have a back up venue if the 1st place doesn't work out?

Most of them know because we just had our engagement party in Chicago and told them.. with the approximate date.

And no, we're kind of (keeping our fingers crossed) that it works out..if not, I will cry lol

i don't think it's too late ... but i also don't think it's necessary ... we didn't do STDs and i'm perfectly fine with that

I'm still sending out STDs to people whose addresses I just got! And I sent the original batch out in December. Feb should be fine..but think about a back up plan anyways.
