Do you think sending my save the dates out by the 2nd week of July is a little too late for my February 2011 wedding? should I even bother? We are not taking our engagement photos until 6/18 and I did want to maybe use a picture from that. It is about 7 months still before the wedding.
Omg stop! You're giving me anxiety!! Were taking our photos Saturday and prob won't get them out until 1st/2nd week of may and I'm getting married october 1st!! That's less than 5 mos! I've thought this too 'what's the point?' But ill be paying practically nothing so I figured why not! So I was thinking ill send the invites out 6wks prior..

Lol I'm glad! My gf sent hers out 6mos, I think that's the standard for local and more for destination. I got one from another gf about 10mos before their Ireland wedding.

no thats totally fine!! i sent mine 8 months before i think when youre getting to like 5 months before i wouldnt even bother cuz invites go out about 2 months before anyway
I think that's totally fine - we sent ours out in March - a little under 7 months before.
save the dates are usually between 6-8 months. For some reason all the girls on this site do everything SUPER early , relax.
