So we ordered our save the dates through magnet street and just are waiting for them to arrive. I was wondering when is a good time to send them out for our October wedding. FH says send them out as soon as possible, but I think that is a bit early. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I did mine in stages. Members of bridal party and anyone who will have to travel, I sent a year out. Then friends and extended family about 10 months out, then everyone else by 9 months out.

We sent them out November 29th, the last Friday of the month. Ours was fall themed so I wanted to get them out before winter hit. It was already past the one year mark at that point so no one would be confused which October 25th. I know the standard is 6-8 months before though they say once you hit the 11th month mark, it's all good.

i sent mine at 10months. personally i'd wait til mid january just so they don't get lost in holiday mail..

I sent mine in September which was right after the year mark but part of the reason why I sent mine out at the year mark was because I'm getting married on a holiday weekend and wanted my oot guests to have enough notice.

I plan on getting mine out end of Feb or march... right at the year mark bc we have a friend getting married 2 weeks before us in Florida so we want to make sure all our friends know they have two wedding back to back!

now I'm thinking about taking coffeeisgreen's advice... send friends thatr invited to both weddings and bridal party out first.... then family after... if my aanxiety didn't get to me about losing them or something! lol

We sent our out about 9 months out. Even with this much notice some people already had that date booked for other things and can't make it.

However, by doing this and knowing how many can't come (so far) we can now send save the dates to our B list without making them feel like a B list which is important to us.
