STD announcements I need help

STD announcements I need help

Hi,

I would like to send those STD announcements but not sure if I should. We are having an engagement party july 2004, and our wedding is sept 10, 2005. Do i still send an STD and if so when about. My fiance says it not needed since we can announce the date at the party. I think that is silly people will forget.

any input would be so welcome

you should send out std's to out of town guests no more than a year in advance. local people receive them 6-8 months, i think. not sure about locals.

Maybe you could send out the STDs with the engagement party invitations or with thank yous.

you could give out the STD's to the people who come to the engagement party and then mail them out to everyone else about a year or so before...are you having alot of OOT guests?

We sent ours out with our engagement party thank yous... it was way ahead but I know most people did hang them on their fridge so I'm glad we know that they all know!

We are getting married in May, 2005 and our engagement party is this July 10. I am printing out Save the Date cards that I will have on hand at the party. The Save the Dates include a website address that will have lodging and travel info for the out of town guests. We will email this info or mail out a Save the Date to anyone not able to make it to the engagement party.

We mailed out our STD's with our Engagement Party Thank You cards as well. Whomever didn't come to the party will receive their STD's sometime next month.(we're getting married July 1, 2005).
