STD arrived...
and we love them! We had an idea, but do not have the creative/artistic skills to execute so we turned to Maria Haley (from etsy http://www.etsy.com/people/haleyprints?ref=pr_profile).
We emailed Maria with a concept and not much direction other than 'we sorta like these colors', 'we like fairly modern/minimalist designs', HELP![]()
Maria was amazing! For only $20, she gave us 2 designs to choose from (and offered to create others if we didn't vibe with either) and then worked with us through multiple rounds of revisions (wording/spacing/color). She was incredibly patient and we know that we could never have done it without her. If you want a graphic designer to help you---USE MARIA!
Here is the final version (the design is printed on the larger magnets from vistaprint). I spent about $70 for 200 (lots of coupon codes and sales).
Vistaprint did a great job although in hindsight I wish I had spent a few more dollars for a higher quality product (they are a bit 'soft' in the coloring--it doesn't really pop--and the magnet is very thin--although I am fine with that).
