STD cards...

how far in advance should you send out your STD cards?????

I sent mine out as soon as we set the date (about 2 months ago, maybe a bit more) but we are getting married January 9th & we have a lot of out-of-towners, that are coming from Europe.

I planned on getting them out by August 1- but have not yet - so I upted (sp?) the date to September 1. My date is June 26, 2004- so its ok for me to procrastinate a little still...

Janine, I looked at your profile & I wouldn't reccommend sending them out yet. Over 1 year in advance is a bit too soon & people may forget anyway. I would think it might be nice to do it aroud Valentine's Day (if you want to do them early), and it may help people remeber better!

I sent them out 1 year in advance, only because my wedding falls a few days after Christmas, so I wanted people to know VERY early.

i have the day after yours im planning to send them out in either December(chrismas card season) or January(people just got their new calanders for the year)
