Just because I am slow in getting things sent out with graduation and all...is it bad to send out a STD e-mail from weddingchannel.com FIRST and then to follow up with a packet of information of where to stay - what to do with a Magnet.
Also, do you have to finalize the list before sending out STDs or can you only send it to your definites?

Re: STD - email AND hard-copy
You could send out the email first, but how long do you think it would take to get the magnets made? Another few weeks isn't really going to matter much. Any advance notice that you give everyone is great. How many OOT guests are you having? Probably the more that you have, the sooner you should get the invites out.
Regarding WHO should get the STD's- we didn't send them to EVERYONE, but it was most people. Basically people got them for 3 reasons:
1- They were OOT
2- We were ABSOLUTELY sure that we were inviting them.
3- We knew that they knew other people coming to the wedding, and didn't want to deal with people talking, and some would find out that they didn't get a STD.
There were a few people that we didn't send them to, because we wanted to reserve the right to cut down the guest list later. (Smart move on our part, as the # of people that we think are actually coming seems to keep growing...)
just my 2 cents...

Re: STD - email AND hard-copy
Well, with graduation and moving and the new job I am thinking they wont get out for at least a month. I sent out the email to the definites today and some maybes because they would hear about the STDs from others (so I guess they arent maybes anymore) - I am just hoping those 'maybes' ppl wont come
I hate inviting ppl out of obligation! Like my bf from HS who I kept in touch with afterward, but then she vanished about a year ago. I feel like if I dont invite here I will feel bad, so I did - even tho everyone told me not to.
