STD Ettiquette

STD Ettiquette

ok so i am in the process of getting all the guest's addresses and what not so I can send out my STD magnets.

i have some questions though and I am seeing mixed things online...

1. Do i have to include 'and guest' for people who will be invited with a guest? Or save it for the invitation?

2. If someone is in a serious relationship, but not engaged or married they don't live together, do i put their names on it also or just the 1 person?

3. This is random-- but i saw on one site that if a magnet is enclosed you should write on the outside of the envelope...'magnet enclosed'...did anyone do this?

1. no, i wouldnt put 'and guest'. just save it for the invitation.
2. that one is a hard one...for example we are invited to an engagement party but me and FH dont live together. our friend sent the invitation to FH house but with both of our names on it. I wuold say if they are engaged maybe put both names.
3. i dont think it is necessary to put 'magnet enclosed'. i mean i dont think it is that fragile that it would break?

yeah i thought that last one is weird...i think it said to do it so no one buts it on anything that can deactivate the magnet but i really doubt thats gonna be a problem!

1. no you do not have to put '& guest'
2. all of our friends who are in serious relationships already live together so i included both names on the envelope.
3. i have never heard of that but it could be because they don't want magnets going near certain items

All of the STDs we've ever gotten were addressed to us both. One was just me, but my friend didn't know FH's last name, but he is clearly always invited.

1. No need to add 'and guest, save for the actual invite

2. If in serious relationship put both of their names on the STD, even if they do not live together

3. Not sure. Didn't send mine out yet-- maybe ask post office?

Re: STD Ettiquette

I just sent mine out last Thursday.

I did not write & Guest on any.

Serious couples whether living together or not got both names. It went to the person's house I'm closest with (meaning who I was friends with first).

I did not write anything about there being magnets enclose, and they were all delivered fine.

I put and guest for people...I'm a dork and just wanted to make sure that they knew they could bring someone

I put both names

I didn't do this...but my FH was worried about sending them...he's a mailman...he was worried about the magnets going through the machine...so he sent out a few to make sure nothing happened to the magnets and nothing did...everyone got one. =)
