I am getting ready to do the envelopes for my STD's. Do I include 'and guest' on the invites of friends who are not currently dating someone. They willl be invited with a guest to the wedding.

I didn't. This is just to act a nice reminder of your impending nuptials. I sent it to all my friends in the Christmas cards, and now their invite says and guest.

Sounds bad, but I would not. I have several friends that broke up with their significant others during the engagement, and so I did not invite them with a guest. However, if I had sent the STD with the 'and guest' they might feel ok to bring someone, anyone, along with them.
