Hi ... I tried everything to get these magnets to stick onto the cards/envelopes i bought- tape, clips, heart and rectangle - hole punch to slide into, slits made in card with box cutter to slide into, tying it with ribbon, making a pocket with ribbon and cardboard, hot clue and rubber cement. finally i found temporary but strong- 'glue dots' - sticker style- peels away like rubber cement and leaves no mark - that seem to work the best.
so i am about to do them all soon... probably today....
1. are people going to know to pull magnet off from card? will they think its part of the card?
2. when addressing the envelopes, do i put Miss. Smith and Guest for STD for just Miss. Smith?
3. If I am inviting a whole family in one household with adult children for the STD is it Smith Family or
Mr. and Mrs. Smith Miss. Jody Smith (and guest?) Miss. Samantha Smith (and guest?)
for the invites does each of these people have separate invites or all one invite (same address) ?

Re: std magnet - questions
I don't know if what I am doing is right, but I am assuming they will know to take the magnet off the card. Mine come with the little slits. I'm sending one per family, and not writing guest on the envelope. A random guest doesn't need to save the date. Just my opinion...

Re: std magnet - questions
I agree with MsPotterhead... I sent 1 STD per family and didn't include guest on the mailing label. If it was a married couple, I did send it to Mr. & Mrs. Smith. I don't think you should worry about getting too technical until you have to send out the invitations.
Also, I know some girls inserted their STDs into a card with a cute poem with instructions to remove the STD and put it on the fridge.

Re: std magnet - questions
I did my STD magnets myself, printed them at home and made a card for them to go in as well. I used 'removable' double sided mounting tape and they stuck perfectly and came off like a breeze!
I chose to send 1 STD per household. I addressed them: Mr. and Mrs. XYZ (traditional couple) The XYZ Family (if children/multiple family invited) Mr./Ms. XYZ (singles)
that's beautiful! I'm not so crafty. I found a designer on ebay, and they are standard business size magnets and come with cardstock with slits to stick the magnet onto. My cards say nada. The magnets are really cute though.

I ordered mine off of ebay, but they didn't come with anything to send them with (no envelopes, no cards with slits). Now what?
