STD Mailing Advice

Need your opinions ladies. My intention during this entire engagement (ps about 1 year) has been to mail my STDs w/ xmas cards. Needless to say, I'm ridiculously behind schedule.

The question is, should I mail them with Xmas cards or wait 'til after the holidays and mail them separately? If I mail them with Xmas cards, it's going to be a very tough and tight deadline, which also means just about everyone on my guest list gets a Xmas card this year so they can receive an STD (haha, that sounded funny cracking up over here). Am I expected to maintain that ridiculously long mailing list from now on? I also don't want those same guests (ie great aunts and twice removed cousins) to feel as though they need to send me a Xmas card every year too. I know I don't need to send an STD ( , sorry now I'm giddy) to everyone on the guest list, but then what's the point of sending since my immediate friends and family have my wedding date scarred to their memory by now? I'm rambling. If this made sense, please respond.

I intended on sending them out a long time ago, which I didn't. Since I never send holiday cards, I didn't want to send STDs at holiday time. So...I will either scrap them (and deal w/ the waste of time!) or wait until after the holidays. We aren't sending them to everyone either! HTH

If I were you I'd mail them seperately. They are for an event and should go out on their own- plus, good point about the x-mas cards. You don't want to send them to distant family right before the wedding and then never again!

FH and I ordered STDs and never got them out b/c we didn't have our guest list finalized (still don't and the invites are going out in 2 - 3 weeks!). We figured that anyone important knows anyway- anyone else is one less person to pay for, we have no problems meeting our minimum. It was a waste of $$ but only about $100....
