are you keeping a theme with your STD, Invites, wedding paper goods?
For example, if you see my STD below, it's beachy and fun. Do you think the rest of the paper (Thank you's, Invite etc) should follow suit?
I would possibly do a much more 'adult' beach/summer theme for the invite, if I could locate something reasonable. Magnetstreet does offer a matching invite to the STD, but I think that might be overkill.
Thoughts? Am I nuts? lol

Re: STD spinoff question....
Yes, IMO they should be complimentary of eachother but not identical. I have a peacock theme, but I think I am using the colors of the feather in the STD, and the actual feathers in the invitation...
The only thing I think that could be completely different is your bridal shower. I think it's fun when it has a girly theme, like baking or butterflies

Re: STD spinoff question....
OK, good bc that's what I was thinking. I have seen some nice invitations that are light blue, or have sea shells/starfish but in a classy/adult way. I would hate to be too 'matchy cutesy' lol.... ya know?

Re: STD spinoff question....
Mine will all flow. So my STD isn't exactly like my invite but the color scheme is there and the fonts are the same. Im designing everything myself so it's a little different and I have some flexibility.

I'm doing a bit of a vintage theme and plan on sending vintage looking postcards, but my theme for our E-Party is completely different.

I agree w/ bella - your vibe can come through on all of the paper products just not in an identical way! Love that you're doing beachy btw! What colors are you using; I've never been upstairs is it the same as down as far as colors?!

I think the colors are pretty close, but you can see it online under the Photo Gallery, State Room.
I think I am going to have the girls wear either a pretty sea blue dress, or a nice purple, not too dark or light. I showed you my flower inspiration I think, from another former bride's wedding.
I am so excited to start booking it all!

Re: STD spinoff question....
I'm going to try and have them stick within the same theme, but I'm not going to bend over backwards trying to do it. I do plan on looking at invitations around the same time I'll be making STDs so it might work out!
I think you can definitely carry your theme along! I think you can definitely have a sophisticated beach themed invite.
I am inventing this from my head, so don't expect to find it anywhere but maybe you can make it....A faded picture of a beach with that clear paper (no idea what its called ) over it that has the invite details printed on it! That would look so cool! Or maybe just pick a very simple layout with a starfish or shell as an image on top of the invite?
see? definitely lot of things you can do!! :)

That's a nice idea, and yes I can picture it! I think the sheer is called vellum.
I found something nice through the Carlson Craft site, in the Chloe B group which is made for Crane Paper Co. Of course it was alot of money for what I liked, but the idea was definitely do-able.
Thanks for all the input!

I am having them match my theme and not have an identical invitation. Found the perfect one on magnet street.
