STD styles

What are you doing for STDs? I know alot of people do magnets. IS anyone doing their own on the computer using printer paper? Which way is cheaper?

I did business cards & then attached them to index sized stock cards that read 'save the date'

The business cards cost me $20 for 100 already printed up with whatever saying & design I wanted

Re: STD styles

I wrote out our STDs in MS Word and I included a recent pic of the 2 of us dressed up. Then I went to Wal-Mart and bought 2 or 3 packets of nice 'weddingish' paper. Printed them out and then put them in the mail. It was really inexpensive even if you count the $20 color ink cartridge that I had to replace. And they didn't look cheap, everyone thought they came out great!!!

Mine are magnets. It was about $120 for $125 (with shipping). I would think that using paper is cheaper than magnets.

I was thinking of maybe getting personalized pencils with something like 'Pencil us in!' written on it. Too cheesy? Might be a pain to mail I guess.

OMG! That is honestly the cutest thing I've ever heard....people can use pencils!!!!! It'll be a constant reminder! You can stick the pencils in a legal size envelope and it'll be .37 for the postage! Don't worry about the mail!

I bought mine from shutterfly.com. They were about $150 for 115. We chose photo cards because many members of our families haven't met yet.....so at least they will get to see FH before the day of the wedding.

Actually, someone I know did this and not all of them made it -- they got caught in the PO's mail sorter. You have to put them in special tube-like mailers.

We got 200 for about $65. It was a lot easier and the price was great.

Re: STD styles

I am an '05er but i was snooping - my STD's were a sticker - all the information was on the top and then on the bottom was a square that is the size of the square of a calendar and it has our names and our wedding date - this way if it on the calendar no one can forget :) Hope this helped!!
