STD vent
I'm having a hard time figuring out when to send my STDs. We're doing a vistaprint magnet and brochure with hotel/transportation/activity information, and were planning to include a copy of one of our engagement photos on the brochure. Thing is, since it's wedding season, it looks like the earliest we can do the shoot is the middle of next month, then we'd get the proofs back 3 weeks later.
I keep hearing (and my mom keeps insisting) that since the wedding is in the Hamptons, that we should send out the info and tell people to book 'as soon as possible' because it gets so busy out there. I even called some of the hotels out there, and the people there were not very helpful when I asked them to confirm if I sent the STD out, say, mid to end of July, that this would be OK. I just need to know how soon is 'as soon as possible'! We can't block rooms because a lot of the places require a deposit from us, which we'd only get back if a certain number of rooms were booked. I haven't even told my mom yet we're considering waiting for the e-photo. I think she'd freak!![]()
