STD wording

Apparently we are getting married Memorial Day weekend next year - i must be the only bride that did not realize this before signing a contract and handing over money It really doesnt matter, but now that i DO know lol i was wondering if i should mention that on the STD? Do people who have weddings on holiday weekends typically indicate that it is a holiday weekend on the STD? i know that if I got an invite for a wedding next may 23, i would most likely not think twice about it being mem day weekend (heck, it was MY wedding and i didnt think twice lollllll) so i was curious as to the proper way of wording the STD. I'm getting married on Memorial Day weekend too. I didn't put anything on my STD about the holiday, although I did mention it on my wedding website. HTH!

i'm getting married columbus day weekend. it's not as popular a holiday weekend as memorial day, but still, i didn't put anything about it on the STD. When i told people the date we booked in person, i mentioned it was columbus day. plus, i guess since our wedding is on a sunday, most people figured it was columbus day so most people would have the next day off.

i don't think you need to mention it on the STD. maybe when you talk to people about it, but they might figure it out on their own anyway.
