STD wording help

STD wording help

Do you address the STD with 'Mr. John Smith & guest' or do you just address it 'Mr. John Smith' and do the '& guest' for the invitation?

OH, also...what if you're inviting an entire family to the wedding? Should it be worded 'The Smith Family'?

i woud think just 'john smith' and put guest on the invite. and if you are inviting the entire family put, 'smith family'

I agree..you don't need to put guest on the STD, but if its the family then include them

I agree u don't have to put and guest on the STD. They are suppossed to more informal.

ours were informal and we addressed them first name last name. with FH's side we used mr. & mrs. for family friends only because his parents are more 'formal' in this respect and FH never addresses these people by their first names...

the '& guest' we are leaving for the invitations...

ours were SO informal...
we would put Mr. & Mrs. Name & Family
or Mr. Name & Guest

we definately cannot address our invitations like we did our STD's... on some of them I would write Mr. Name & Lisa (like if I didn't know someone's last name)
but we figured they are just a cute thing to send out... for the invitations we will address everything in a more proper way
