STD xmas cards

STD xmas cards

I was thinking of doing and STD/Xmas Card. Yay or nay? It's going to be magnets - not sure if that would silly for an August wedding.

Otherwise, we will send them out in January.

i'm not sure you should combine xmas and your STD on a magnet itself ... but i see nothing wrong with sending a holiday card (not just xmas) and adding the std magnet in the same envelope.

ETA: i didn't answer because i think you COULD combine the two ... just not on the same magnet

I think you should send them out separatley, only because I wouldnt want them getting lost in the Xmas card shuffle and people may throw them out by accident or they may not get there at all.

i dont know why im confused (long day at work!)...
but did you mean inserting ur STD magnet into a christmas card so its like they're 2 separate things, but just combining the postage? (I was thinking of doing this, still not sure if its a good idea)

or did you mean having one magnet like a joint 'merry christmas/std' thing? like mor was saying

I'm waiting until January to send mine because a lot of my christmas cards last year never made it to their destinations so I don't want my std's to get lost!

Thats what I was worried about too - I was planning on doing January originally but I don't know if I'm patient enough to wait to mail them!

My cuz did this for her June wedding a couple yrs ago and it was awesome.
What she did was just like you see the Happy Holidays picture of someone's kids! She used a couple of her engagement shots, the border was holiday festive. She has save the date for our wedding and the date written at the top and then had it signed with happy holidays!
