STD/Announcement Question

Our wedding is June 29, 2006, which is the Thursday before 4th of July. How should I word the STD/Announcements so people know it's just before the holiday, so they don't see Thrusday and say 'Ugh'.

What do you think of something like this...
'What better way to start 4th of July celebrations than our wedding'

Sounds cheezy to me. I have been brainstorming and that's the best I came up with.

I am going to make them myself. Thinking of something red, white and blue, maybe with fireworks?

Any suggestions?!?!? TIA!

Ours is on the sunday before presidents day which most people forget about but have off of work. We did a half calender and had a heart around the wedidng date and a presidents symbol for the next day.

Maybe you can do the same thing with a flag instead?

you can do 2 small calenders 1 on top of another. But thats the only thing I can think of Sorry!

That's okay, but I love the idea!

I did not want to do STD's just announcements, but seeing that our wedding will be near a holiday, I want to do it.
