How far before the wedding are you all sending out your STDs? Someone told me to do it 4 months before but I think that's way to close, no? I was thinking of sending them out in December/January for my May wedding.
What do you ladies think?

We just sent ours out last week (about 9 months before)! If you do it 4 months before, then they will get your STD and a month or 2 later they will get your invite!

usually its about between 12 and 9 months before I think. You have to give people more time if you are having your wedding on a holiday weekend, otherwise, go with closer to 9 months. I think thats what I am doing. I am just going to send them either right before all of the holiday mail goes out or right after..I still have to decide

We sent ours out at about the 6 or 7 month mark so our guests could make travel arrangements with enough time to get good rates on flights and to book the blocked hotel rooms.
