Anyone doing Save the Dates? Can you post photos? Do you think they are necessary? When are you sending them out?

honestly they are not necessary unless you do a holiday weekend, destination wedding, or around another event(s). Anything other than that its simply if you want to, they're very popular now so most people are just doing them.

I am planning on doing them too, and i will send them out about 8-10 months ahead of time

im doing them being that mostly everyone..including me and FH live out of state..so people have time to plan and its nicer then making 100 phone calls

i'm doing save the dates. not only is our wedding memorial day weekend, but it's sunday, the night before memorial day. since a lot of people go away that day, i am giving a year notice.

these are two stds i love. we're doing a heart theme for our wedding. i think i like the first better.

we're doing them as well. we have alot of people coming from out of state and our wedding is a friday night. FH was particular about not doing 'just a card', his reason was that people would just toss it to the side therefore making it pointless (i see his point). So we looked into other options. I like the idea of a magnet but 5 family members that I can think of off the top of my head don't even have fridges that can take magnets, plus I couldn't find one that I was IN LOVE with.......so we chose little 20-page 3x3 notebooks.
