Is it too early now to send out save the dates for a July 09 wedding?!

i think you still have some time before you have to send them. if you wait until about a year before, that's plenty of notice.

I already sent mine out in late July!!! We had our e-party in August and we wanted to avoid the question...so when is the date...so we already sent them. We used magnets so they are on everyone fridge so they won't forget!

I always think same thing! When i first came on this site there was a thread called, 'Check out my STD's' (or something like that...i was like, 'uhhhh?'

But as far as the sending out the Save the Dates, I think now would be fine!

common practice on all the ettiquette sites says 6-9 months prior to the wedding. I think 1 year tops. I am getting married this July and sent them out in September. I have never received a std that was for moree than 1year away

haha me 3!!! but i dont even think like that anymore.. just when i first came on here.. lol..

and no i dont think it's to early... the earlier the better.. plus gives ppl a real good chance to not plan something else.. lol

I've been spreading the word about the date but am not going to send the official ones until this summer. I have about 50% of people from out of town and I don't think I can get the hotel contracts until this summer.

Me too. I still can't get over it.

but im not sending out my save the dates till january 09 for my august 09 wedding. everyone in my family already knows the date, and have written it down to take off so im in no rush to get them out

I totally think the same. Imagine someone making a post for THAT reason?! I recently saw save the date pens... I think that's a great idea... something people can actually use!
