Can i still send out STD's to some people with about 4 months to go, or is it tacky. We weren't sure about inviting some people but now we are. is it ok?
i don't think save the dates are necessary at this point, but i guess if you already bought them and you don't want to waste them it's fine. I didn't do them, didn't see the need but that's just me.
At 4 months I would hold off.. since your invitations will probably be going out in the next month or two, right?

I wouldn't call it tacky but after the 6 month mark we decided to not send out STD's to the guests that were added to our list. We're sending out our invitations in june and we didn't find it necessary to send out the STD's just 3 months prior to the invite
