Is anyone NOT doing STD magnets? I was going to DIY some but then I fell in love with cards that will match the invites... I suppose I could ask them to see if they would turn them into magnets but they are also twice as expensive with magnets! I know that personally if I got one in the mail I would just use a magnet to put it up on the fridge either way. Or a bulletin board, so is it really that inconvenient to send cards?

I didn't send STD's as magnets....I fell in love with a card...most of my friends and family said they just put it on the fridge with a magnet. I say if you love one that's a card go for it!

I did a card too...I haven't received them yet but I was throwing around the idea of getting a sheet of magnet and cutting strips and sticking to the top back of the card. Hoping it will be peel of on the back. Honestly not even sure they make a sheet of magnet but it sounds like its possible.

I did persoanlized post cards. I didn't want to spend extra $$ for magnets and to be honest, I dont really want to be displayed on everyones fridge! lol.

i did postcards too. i wouldnt want a magnet if i were a guest- i have a stainless steel fridge so it wouldnt even stick. the little space i have on the side is full :)

I did magnets, but thats what I wanted. Whenever i get postcards i just put them up on the fridge with whatever magnets I have around, no biggie. Its all what YOU want!

I did postcards that were really fun and showed our personality. I had them made on Zazzle. I figured there would be plenty of pics of me and FH during all this wedding hoopla, I didn't need to do any more. We had the e-pic shoot taken off our photo package and saved some money too.

I was thinking of doing the same thing if I decided not to do magnets. But like you, I don't even know if they sell sheets or bulk mini magnets to attach. If they do, not sure if it will come out cheaper either.. lol

I'm sure at Michael's or something you can get magnet strips. I really like these ones at Wedding Paper Divas, they would match the whole invitation theme, etc, and I'm glad most people would stick them up with a magnet they already had if they wanted to do that! A card you can stick up somewhere else too if you wanted. Thanks for sharing!!

I know they have a magnet roll - like a strip w/ peel off white paper on back. I used it in a kindergarten class. They even have magnetic paint! Very cool!

we are going to do a postcard and then get small flat magnets with our intials on it. Kind of like a different spin on the magnet idea. Plus if people get rid of the card once the wedding is over, they still have the small magnet!
