STDs and inviting

I'm going to be sending out STDs soon...hopefully before thursday haha. yeah right though since i'm still waiting for FH to get me addresses....but thats another topic haha. anyways...we're inviting people we know who have kids...and yes the kids are being invited...but with the STDs do we just write Mr. and Mrs _______ or do we put Mr. and Mrs. ________ and family???????????

Thanks!!

Oh yeah. I'm inviting 3 people I work with...managers anyway...i dont know their addresses do you think it would be ok to just write their names on the envelope and put it in their mailboxes at work??

This is what I did for wedding invites b/c I didn't know where some of the admin. lived, so I hand delivered the invite and they letter e-mailed me their address, so I would have it for the thank you.

If your iviting the kids also I would write and family. This way they know and they know they don't have to look for a sitter.

For the couples that you're inviting with kids you can put Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Family or The Smith Family. That's what I did for the STDs. On the inner envelopes of the invitations tho I wrote out everyone's names.

I also invited my bosses and didn't have their addresses. So I asked our Accounting department (they knew why) and they gave them to me, your HR department should also have this info.

that's what i'm doing - and family - but we limited it to only family members to bring kids - the list is high already so cant add more!

also... i'm not sending std's to my co-workers.. i figured they obviously know when i'm getting married and who knows what my relationships will be like as the date gets closer!

We just sent ours out and we just did Mr. & Mrs. _____. We're doing the more formal thing for the invites

When I sent STDs I did informal addressing. So, instead of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, I put Uncle Bob & Aunt Irene. I didn't bother with the kids if they lived at home. IMHO, I wouldn't include them on the addressing for the STD. IF down the road you need to cut the guest list, you canNOT cut anyone you sent an STD to. Kids and coworkers are the quickiest, easiest place to cut back. Just my two cents.

I would write the smith family it easier and more efficient i think, and for the STD's i am just putting them in all of my xmas cards!!
