STD's and when to send?

STD's and when to send?

I just ordered my STD's for my July 25th 2008 wedding. I still have to finish my guestlist and get addresses. is October or November too late?


thanks! My STD's are in my album. I used agiftfulheart.com and they were so helpful and fast. Yeah!

hmmm... good question ... i was thinking of sending mine this october for an october 2008 wedding. is a year's notice too soon??

All the save the dates I've gotten were 9-10 months before the wedding date, I think.

i don't think a year is too soon but i'm not positive. We need a STD EXPERT. Where are you experts? We need help!

I never paid attention to when I got things before I was engaged. I wish I paid more attention.

I just found this...


As per what the etiquette dictates, they should be sent out 6 months in advance, unless your wedding is in a holiday weekend, then you should send them out appx 8 months in advance.

Only 6 months??? Wow. Everyone will know my date by then :) via word of mouth. Maybe I'll send in Nov - Dec.

I too am confused about this...my wedding is in July and it is on the 4th so its a holiday...I have the STD's already but I have no idea when I should send them out....

I would say send them out now. It's less than a year away and it's a holiday. the sooner the better.

usually a year if your wedding is on a holiday weekend, otherwise its about 8-10 months before the wedding

i was thinking maybe we should send ours out around xmas - just because our wedding will be right before the holidays 2008 - i want to give people a heads up so i figured a year before.......or do you guys think that sending them out in jan or feb is better? i just figured since the holidays can be hectic it would be good to send them out a year before
