Ok so I really want to do the magnets but FH says they are too little and people won't see them on their cluttered fridge's. He wants to do a traditional card.
His suggestion to compromise - do a printed card & place a thin piece of magnetic tape on the back - then people can put it anywhere they like.
we also did a magnet attached to a card. it was hard to mail the magnet otherwise!

I say do the strip... just make sure when cut it, it looks neat. We got a business card in the mail the other day with a strip and I thought I looked pretty cheesy, but only because the strip was cut up all scraggly.

Everyone loved our STDs. They are extremely helpful to people that are busy, out of towners, business people, active people, etc. We also did a wedding webpage which has a bunch of details from hotels to directions to church info to you name it. weddingchannel.com - very easy to do- and put on the bottom of the STD IF people wanted to look further. If everyone is from LI, it's pretty much family and on the smaller side maybe you don't need to spend the extra money. But your time of the year things can be busy for a lot of people and when someone has to move a planned vacation or weekend getaway it's a pain for them. I've gone to 4 weddings (NY, NY, CT, VA) this year and three of them sent STD's. I immediately put the date in my Palm Pilot.
